Welcome to the Vaaltriangle community. Our community consists of the Randvaal (Daleside, Walkerville), Midvaal (Henley on Klip, Meyerton, Vaal Marina) Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark and Sasolburg towns. Even though Sasolburg effectively is part of the Free State province, it has always formed part of the Vaaltriangle. Not only is the region known as the Steel capital of South Africa, it is also rich in cultural history.

Vereeniging was founded in 1892 and is situated on the banks of the Vaal River. The Treaty of Vereeniging ending the Second Boer War (1899-1902) was negotiated in Vereeniging on 31 May 1902.

Vanderbijlpark was named after Dr HJ van der Bijl, who oversaw the Iron and Steel Corporation's first plant at Pretoria, but with the increased demand after World War II, 100 km² was bought to build a large steel works and model town Vanderbijlpark. The steel works began operating in 1947 and the town was proclaimed in 1949. Vanderbijlpark is now home to ArcelorMittal.

The Vaaltriangle boasts two regional shopping malls, one each in Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark. There are over 60 primary and secondary schools within the Vaal Triangle area. North-west University boasts a campus in Vanderbijlpark which is also home to Vaal University of Technology. The feeding ground for these higher education facilities come from the concentration of steel industries, power generating industry, oil and gas industry, coal industry and last but not least our tourism industry.

A current property growth node has already been established along the R59 motorway stretching from Alberton through to Vanderbijlpark and Sasolburg. Large businesses already established along this node are the Heineken Brewery, Nampak Tissue, BSI Steel, Twin boats and Trailers, Everite and Vaal Potteries. There are still large pieces of property and land available for development of Industrial and Residential projects.

The Vaaltriangle has seen tremendous growth in the development of Commercial property to keep up with the influx of people which sustain the growth in the region. This property growth has had the effect of residential property developers catering for all types of accommodation ranging from single bedroom apartments to security estates on the banks of the Vaal River and Vaaldam.

Vereeniging has the only suburb in South Africa which is surrounded by three major rivers. The Sugarbush River and Klipriver joins the Vaal River, hence the suburb of Three Rivers in which Just Letting Vereeniging has its offices.

The region features the Emerald casino on the banks of the Vaal River in Vanderbijlpark as well as a Barnyard theatre in Vereeniging. A wide range of restaurants that cater for all the culinary needs are part of the only wine route outside of the Western Cape. The region boasts no less than 6 golf courses namely Eye of Africa, Meyerton, Riviera, Emfuleni, Maccauvlei and Loch Vaal. Seasonal Powerboat racing takes place regularly on the Vaal River. Recreational fishing and a wide variety of watersports such as canoeing, skiing and yachting are enjoyed at both the Vaalriver and Vaaldam. Bass Lake situated at Henley-on-Klip not only caters for the hard core 4x4 enthusiasts with its class 4 off-road trail but also provides an inland diving hot-spot.

The Vaaltriangle has a wide range of different properties to cater for the complete spectrum of people ranging from family homes up to weekend breakaway properties which is only approximately 45 minutes drive from Johannesburg.
